• Cummins is launching an Extra Life engine warranty for secondhand trucks over 3.5 tonnes GVW.
The warranty, which is administered by Contract Care Plan, covers parts and labour for engine or fuel system failure, with an unlimited claims liability up to the aggregate price of a replacement engine and its installation.
The cover also includes contributions to recovery and vehicle replacement.
Extra Life warranties are available for six or 12 months. Six months' cover on a B Series engine under three years old with less than 200,000km (125,000 miles) on the clock will cost £115. A 12month warranty on an NT engine under six years old with less than 500,000km (311,000 miles) will cost £320.
