• Rank Hovis McDougall is the first major distribution fleet to take delivery of Foden's new 2000 series 17-tonne truck. Trevor Buckle, Rank's chief engineer, says: "We are delighted with the specification and performance of this new addition to our fleet.
"The truck has a 10.8-tonne payload with ample axle load tolerance on diminishing load work." The vehicle is being used to deliver bagged flour in the south of England and is based at Southampton. It is fitted with a Don-Bur curtainsider on a 4.55m wheelbase.
