• Renault's lightweight tractive unit, derived from the M160-13 rigid Midliner chassis to replace the G20, will be the company's only new model not at the NEC (CM 12-18 July).
With plated axle weights of 4.5 tonnes (front) and 9.2 tonnes (rear), it is designed for operation at 21 tonnes GVW but can be downplated to 18 or 16 tonnes.
A choice of two six-cylinder turbocharged engines offer power options of 117kW (159hp) from a 5.9-litre unit and 144kW (196hp) from a slightly longer-stroked and slower-revving 6.18-litre unit with torque outputs of 490Nm (36116ft) at 1,700rpm and 635Nm (470lbft) at 1,400rpm.
Both engines are matched to a ZE 56-365 six-speed synchromesh transmission.
