HUNGARIAN TRAFFIC

• The Hungarian authorities have reserved the border crossing at Sopron in the west of Hungary for bilateral traffic between Austria and Hungary. This came into effect on June 1, 1986.

Between June 1 and September 15 the customs office at Sopron is closed to all coaches and lorries from Friday at 12 noon through to Sunday at midnight.

Lorry and coach drivers are therefore asked to enter and leave Hungary via the border points at Hegyeshalom and Koeszeg.
