on its seven new Seddon Atkinson 301 tractive units has enabled Burton's Biscuits of Blackpool to achieve an average 33.2 lit/1001cm (8.52 mpg) on general trunking work at 32.5 tonnes GCW.
The 180kW(241hp) 10-litre Cummins-powered 301s are operating between Burton's factories in Blackpool, Edinburgh and South Wales pulling 12.2m tandem axle trailers equipped with Rubery Owen-Rockwell Indair suspension.
The roof spoilers and cab side deflectors were manufactured by Longton Coachcraft of Bamber Bridge, Preston, while the under bumper front air dams are from Seddon 401 tractive units.
