Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

the way to the scene of removal, the ambulance could not be towed empty and had to he loaded onto the recovery vehicle. However, provided it is daylight and not driven over 20 mph is it in order to tow the unladen ambulance?

Often we have to collect two cars in the same direction. If our car was fitted with a tow ball front and back would it be legal to bring on two at a time using a tow bar at theft-mu and a rope at the rear?

AIt is perfectly legal to tow an unladen ambulance provided (I) 32 km/ h (20 mph) is not exceeded and (ii) it is not done during the hours of darkness.

One is not permitted to tow two "trailers" with a motor car so it is not legal for two broken-down motor cars to be towed as you suggest. (This aspect of the law was further considered in "Know the Law" CM June 21, 1974).
