ROBERT WISEMAN Dairies is to be bought by Muller UK, a division of the German yoghurt maker, in a deal worth £279.5m.
The Scottish own-account operator, which runs a leet of 1,500 black-and-white vehicles and produces a third of the UK’s milk, conirmed to CM that it will continue trading under its own brand and with its own distribution network.
A spokesman says there is “no intention to change operating locations, redeploy ixed assets or change workers’ conditions” .
Robert Wiseman employs about 5,000 staff, operates six dairies in Aberdeen, East Kilbride, Glasgow, Manchester, Droitwich and Bridgwater, and 14 DCs around the country.
