Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE OPERATOR of the Forth Road Bridge has released a video of a truck to illustrate why it closes the bridge to high-sided vehicles in high wind.

It shows the drawbar combination ignoring warnings that the bridge was closed to all but cars on 28 December. The trailer is initially blown over for a few moments before dropping back on to its wheels. The driver continued onwards and the trailer was again blown over, this time staying on its front right corner, occupying both lanes, for over a minute before once again dropping back.

He continued on his way towards Fife, chased by bridge controllers before being stopped and cautioned by police.

Barry Colford, chief engineer and bridgemaster, says: “We’re releasing this footage to warn drivers of the dangers of ignoring restrictions. This driver was very lucky that nobody was killed or injured.”
