Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BIRMINGHAM CITY centre now has its own dedicated lorry and coach park for the first time in almost a decade. The newly opened secure park at Brewery Street provides 32 parking spaces, CCTV, a rest room, showers and toilets. Since the loss of Masshouse Coach and Lorry Park in 2002, there has been no dedicated long-stay parking facility for the city centre.

Director of policy at the Road Haulage Association Jack Semple says: “Safe rest areas are essential for truck drivers who must take regular breaks.” Short stay (up to 12 hours) costs £12, and long stay (up to 24 hours) costs £15. For more information, email parking@ birmingham.gov.uk
