The Mayor of London has revealed plans for a new road tunnel to help alleviate congestion around the Blackwall Tunnel. It will be located between the Greenwich Peninsula and Silvertown in the Royal Docks, and could potentially handle 2,400 vehicles an hour when it opens within a decade.
