P&R CONSTRUCTION and Building Materials has been granted authorisation for ive vehicles at an operating centre in Clint Bank, Harrogate, subject to the following undertakings: • an in-house external or internal training programme relating to driver defect reporting will be implemented, in which P&R will ensure that all existing and new drivers receive annual training. Records of all training sessions and attendees will be kept for at least two years; • safety inspections will be planned and must never be more than six weeks apart. The PMI reports will be fully and properly completed, show rectiication and be retained for at least two years; • there will be a nil defect daily driver reporting system. Defect reports will show rectiication and all reports will be retained for at least two years; • all authorised vehicles (and trailers) will have a rolling road brake test, once before the MoT and once in between, not including the MoT. The results will be recorded and records kept for at least two years; • all authorised vehicles will have a thorough and effective pre-MoT inspection. Records will be kept for at least two years.

C Butt

C BUTT HAS been granted authority for 30 vehicles and 50 trailers at a unit on the Langthwaite Business Park in South Kirkby, West Yorkshire. It will also remove from its licence its Netto Northern Distribution Centre site in South Elmsall, Pontefract.

I&L McNeill

I&L MCNEILL has been given permission to base three vehicles and two trailers at the TJ Wallace Repair and Recovery facility on the MacMerry Industrial Estate in Tranent. The company will also remove from its licence its operating centre at Catwell Quarry in Cousland, Dalkeith.

Edwards Haulage (Nottingham)

EDWARDS HAULAGE (Nottingham) has the green light to base three vehicles and three trailers at the T Baden Hardstaff facility in Kingston-on-Soar, Nottingham.

Kuehne + Nagel

KUEHNE + Nagel is looking to base 10 vehicles at Fowler Court on the West Pitkerro Industrial Estate in Broughty Ferry, Dundee.

FORTHCOMING PUBLIC INQUIRIES Scottish and North Eastern Traffic Areas Edinburgh

• Ecosse International Transport, based in Kilmarnock, will appear before the TC at a PI on 23 January, at which disciplinary action will be considered. The repute of the transport manager will also be on the agenda.

• A new application from Glasgow-based Removals Scotland will be discussed at a PI on 25 January.

Leeds

• A PI on 26 January will look at a new application from Grimsby-based CTL European.

• Disciplinary action against T&S Distribution, based in Grimsby, will be discussed at a PI on 26 January. In addition, the TC will look at the transport manager’s repute.

• Rotherham-based Maximum Transport will attend a PI on 26 January, at which disciplinary action will be considered.

• On 26 January, a PI will look at disciplinary action against International Port Logistics, based in Grimsby. The TC will also consider a variation application from the firm, and the transport manager’s repute.
