Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

COVENTRY FREIGHT forwarder Concord Transport has gone into liquidation with unsecured creditors unlikely to be paid. The firm appointed liquidators from Cranfield Business Recovery on 4 January. In its statement of affairs, it estimates there are about eight other unsecured transport firms owed more than £42,000 of the outstanding £80,000.

Allen Panter, director of local haulage and recruitment firm Anglo Agents, says it was chasing Concord director Marie Torrie for the £2,000 it is owed. “We knew she was struggling but we didn’t know how much.” Nuneaton-based Greyhound Transport (Midlands) is estimated to be owed the largest amount for an unsecured creditor: £17,358. Greyhound MD Selina Carter declined to comment.
