Gregory Distribution says pre-tax profit for the year to September 2011 at the Devonbased company fell 50% to £1.1m from £2.2m the previous year. Turnover dipped 7.3% to £88.2m from £95.2m.
John G Russell (Transport) says last winter’s bad weather in Scotland was a major factor behind its failure to boost profit in the year to March 2011. Pre-tax profit remained at £1.9m, despite turnover rising 2.7% to £53m from £51.6m.
