a narrow margin to accept a two-year deal which will increase their pay by 7% from last December with an inflation-linked increase from the end of this year. The deal gives the 1,800 employees a maximum increase of 7.5% and the company will reopen negotiations if the inflation rate exceeds 6.5%. IBC only offered the inflation-proofing after the talks went to conciliation following a massive rejection of the original deal in a factory ballot. The revised offer squeezed through by between 10 and 20 votes.
