headed "Waxing Lyrical" can be called comprehensive as you have relied totally on CFPP to indicate your diesel samples' cold-flow properties.

Cloud point is equally important, especially when viewed with CFPP. This gives a more reliable indication of minimum operability temperature.

Wax settlement certainly is not "seen" by CFPP.

Thank you for your comments. CFPP shows the temperature at which diesel clogs a fuel filter. As such it gives the absolute minimum temperature at which the diesel will operate. Cloud point gives an indication of the temperature at which waxy crystals form in the fuel.

Nonetheless, we will be including the cloud point in next year's test. Ed
