Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Edmunds in Suffolk, has launched a versatile weighing system called the Flexi-Beam, comprising two free-standing beams (1250mm long x 100mm wide), with an associated electronic Weightmeter. Each beam incorporates two Shear Beam Loadcells giving a total weighing capacity of each beam of 1000kg. The Loadcells are designed to have exactly the same voltage output as each other so that the load can be unevenly distributed along the Beam without causing any error in reading.

The two beams can be held at a fixed distance from one another by a tie-bar. The standard length of the tie-bar is 1150mm, although alternative lengths can be provided.

Designed to be totally portable, the Flexi-Beams can be used for pallet weighing, hopper weighing, bin weighing, mill and mix plants and livestock weighing. List price for the FlexiBeams is 21,250. For more information contact Griffith Elder and Company, 2A Cavendish Road, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 3TE, or phone: (0284) 763616.
