IN THESE days of nasty knocking advertising, it is pleasant to meet someone who invites competitors to cash in on his company's enterprise. He is John Haigh, Multipart's marketing manager.
The new Multipart VOR scheme, which applies to Leylands registered after August 1 this year, guarantees that if components ordered before noon are not delivered on the next working day, there will be no charge for them up to a limit of £100 per part or £1,000 per order.
John says: "... other manufacturers who ... (claim they) never have parts supply problems ... have nothing to lose by giving a similar guarantee to ours."
There is the idea, free, gratis, and for nothing. Only a louse would now raise the limit to £150.
