NEW TYRE regulations intrc duced on January 1 affect rE treaded lorry and car tyres a well as new car tyres.
With certain exceptions is ha since been illegal to sell a CC tyre in the UK unless it i clearly marked with an "E" t show it complies with the loa and speed performance re quirements of the ECE (Unite Nations Economic Commissio for Europe) Regulation 30.
It is also illegal to sell a rt treaded car or lorry tyre unles it is manufactured and marke in accordance with the Britis Standard BSAU 144b: 1977.
