A NEW FLEET of 20 buses has been bought by Central SMT at a cost of £600,000. The new Leyland Nationals, each with a seating capacity of 53, are to be used on the Coltness to Newarthill via Motherwell services and in Hamilton, Lanarkshire. Four will be based at Traction House, Motherwell; six at the Stewarton Street depot in Wishaw; and 10 in Hamilton. The red and cream-coloured vehicles are specially designed for one-man operation.
