SHELL has just taken delivery of the first of 40 ERF B-Series tractive units fitted with what is described as an economy driveline.

The recently introduced big cam" Cummins E290 power unit is governed to only 1,900rpm. To provide the vehicle with an adequate speed range a high final drive ratio is necessary.
