Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

vehicles when I am 21. Will I then need a different type of driving licence?

AAs the law stands at the moment the only

restriction which applies to you is until you are 21 you cannot drive a goods vehicle with an unladen weight exceeding 3 tons. Incidentally in legal terms this category of over 3 tons is termed "heavy motor cars".

However, it is intended to restore the heavy goods vehicle driving licence (as applied before 1939) at some future date, when applicants for a heavy goods vehicle driving licence will have to undergo a special driving test for such a licence. The date when this starts has yet to be announced.
