TO rationalize gas turbine operations within the Leyland Motor Corporation, a new subsidiary called Leyland Gas Turbines has been set up to take over this activity from the Rover Co. Ltd.
Part of the new company's work will be research into the development of gas-turbinepowered vehicles. A Leyland with this form of power unit is undergoing tests at present and a gas-turbine-powered truck is planned for display at the Earls Court Commercial Motor Show in September.
