Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE mechanical handling division of USI Engineering Ltd., Welwyn Garden City, has been acquired by Associated British Maltsters Ltd. which last year bought control of Murfitt, of Wisbech. The former USI subsidiary will now trade as the Burtonwood Mechanical Handling Co. Ltd. with the same management team and with Mr. J. D. Bourne continuing as managing director.

Announcing the purchase, ABM's chairman Mr. David L. Nicolson said the company was now the largest UK manufacturer of hydraulic tail-lifts for commercial vehicles and loading-banks. It also holds exclusive selling rights for SKB cranes. He added: "It is ABM's intention to seek further acquisitions in this sector" (bulk mechanical handling and commercial vehicles).

The acquired company was founded in 1929 as Burtonwood Engineering Co. Ltd. and 30 years later was bought by US Industries Inc., New York.
