Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TWO FERRY firms started recession-defying services to Europe last week, expanding the choice for truck drivers on international runs.

LD Lines started services to both Boulogne and Dieppe from Dover, while Brittany Ferries began its new service linking Plymouth and Roscoff.

The LD Lines service to and from Boulogne is beginning five months ahead of the original July date announced by the company, because, as LD Lines says, there is clear demand on the route.

A spokesman explains: "Speedferries, which used to operate this route, went into administration in November, but it was carrying 700,000 passengers a year, so we are convinced there is sufficient demand, both for freight and passengers:' The LD vessels used on the route will have capacity for up to 52 trucks, while the Brittany Ferries' Armorique, which will ply the Roscoff route, has space for 60 articulated trucks.
