Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

XPARTMENT of Transport buy 11 of the new Lucas de microcomputer-based ular Fleet Organisation sms (M-FOS).

is designed for the fleet stor who is still new to the ocomputer, and Lucas le say M-FOS is easy to and is based on modular mnents so that it can be exed in the future.

3 first component in the m is a tachograph chart sr called Quick-FOS which a manually-rotated chart able. Any type of chart can ead and the information it is transferred directly into system's Sirius microcomwhere it is married up with mation about the driver/

:le already in the compudata store.

ere are two "software pack" available which determine the information is used. The is the fleet management vsis program which gives details as the drivers'kehi' performance monthly isis; this is the package that Lucas Kienzle believes is most valuable because this is where the money can be saved.

The other package is a drivers' hours analysis program which concentrates on monitoring observance or breaches of the hours regulations. A printer completes the system.

Price of the chart reader alone is £590 while the complete system comprising the chart reader, Sirius microcomputer, fleet management analysis program and printer costs £4,360. The DTp paid considerably less for its units.

The drivers' hours program costs a further £590 although this price is discounted by £250 if both programs are bought. If the operator already has a computer the M-FOS system will be able to use this instead of the 16 bit Sirius micro, provided the existing computer uses the common RS232 interface.

As an alternative to the QuickFOS chart reader, Lucas Kienzle also offers an Auto-FOS reader which automatically scans the chart in eight seconds. Lucas Kienzle says it is a worthwhile proposition with fleets of 100 vehicles or more.
