THE Norwich company of Mann Egerton and Co. Ltd. has completely remodelled its former manufacturing premises to provide a heavy vehicle repair and service centre, Situated at Cromer Road outside the town, it is centrally placed to provide easy access to vehicles from all over Norfolk.
Included in the facilities offered will be " Speedline " servicing of commercial vehicles, a vast paintshop equipped to provide speedy turn-round of both new vehicles and of those being repainted.
To become operational on March I, the premises will also house the company's Austin commercial vehicle sales, A.E.C. vehicle and Scammell trailer sales organizations, and will contain a petrol station.
" Expand Services" Call to Motor Trade: Mr. Alec Dune. director-general of the Automobile Association, said last week that with the prospect of some 20m. vehicles in use by 1980. manpower and service facilities in the motor trade will have to expand considerably if millions of vehicles are not to he forced off the roads becathe they cannoi he repaired.
