At the annual meeting of A.R.O. South Wales Area the following were appointed to the area executive cornmittee -Messrs. 0, G. Wynn, P. J. Lewis, J. B. C. Forrester, T. Hillard, T. R. Downing, V. Walker, T. E. Jenkins, G. Fender, S. J. Jefferys, C. Pitts, J. Mordecai, E. H. John and N. J. Francis,
Mr. 0. G. Wynn was re-elected to the National Council.
Chairman for C.M.U.A. Grays Area. Following a meeting of the committee of the Grays and District Area of the C.M.U.A., Mr. A. M. Davies, of Jurgens, Ltd., Grays, has been appointed chairman of the area.
New A.R.O. South London Committee.
A.R.O. Southern Metropolitan Subarea last week appointed the following committee for the ensuing 12 months: Messrs. R. Brown (chairman), T. Hewstone (vice-chairman), A. R Holder, J. S. Pratt (hon. Secretary), T. A. McDowall (chairman, propaganda committee), IL Stevens, W. Shirley, A. E Drain, E. Gosnell (propaganda committee), W. Grace, S. W. Vinter (propaganda committee). and J. F. E. Pyc.
C.M.U.A. Meetings Decision.
Owing to :various reasons, the. dates and placesof meetings arranged by the , London and -Home Counties Division of the C.M.U.A. are likely to be altered. In consequence: our Association Calendar will, in future, -contain only meetings which are to take place' in the week after publication,
Liverpool Chairman Retires.
After seven years as chairman of the Liverpool Cart and Motor Owners Association, Mr. Thomas .Taylor has relinquished that office. At a meeting of the executive committee, Mr. W. J. Harper, of WM. Harper and Sons, Ltd., was elected his successor. Mr. J. F. Supplies, of J. A. Webster and Co., Ltd., was appointed vice-chairman and Mr, F. Jones, hon. treasurer. C.M.U.A. EXTENDING SERVICE IN NORTH-WEST.
With the object of bringing C.M.U.A. facilities to the notice of operators im outlying areas of the Liverpool and North Wales Division, a new sub-area office has been opened at 58, Parker Street, Warrington, and Mr. S. Preece, organizer for the division, will attend there each Tuesday. A further, office is to be opened at Wrexham, where Mr. Preece will attend on Thursday of each week. • Arrangements are also being made for an office at Upholland for the benefit of Orraskirk and district members; it is expected that this branch will be open • every Wednesday. Separate C.M.TIA. divisional offices, with improved facilities, have recently been acquired at 14, Tithebarn Street, Liverpool.
Meetings in the division have been fixed as follow:-March 1, Warrington; March 2, Upholland; March 3, Wrexham. Mr. J. L. Xinder, national organizer, and Mr. R. B. Stockdale will be the principal speakers.
