I'm writing to you following recent industry comment about the lubricity of the lower sulphur "ordinary" diesel fuel that has been introduced into the UK (diesel fuel lubricity is needed to protect the life of a diesel engine's fuel system). This fuel, which is currently being supplied by all UK oil companies, is becoming increasingly controversial.

The controversy surrounds concerns and rumours of engine wear problems.
