Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Jailed driver Mickey Chinnick is a shadow of his former self Neale. Neale visited Chinnick last week in Istanbul prison where she spent two hours discussing his appeal for clemency. She says Chinnick looks older and has lost weight and several teeth through bad food. She says he is depressed and fears for further damage to his health if he has to see out the remaining nine months of his sentence. She says the only thing keeping him going is the prospect of getting home early—he plans to appeal for clemency in March.

"All he wants are the simple things in life—he talks of having a nice pint and a fish supper," she adds. Chinnick has had a prostate gland operation cancelled because doctors now think it's not as serious as first feared.

He was imprisoned in 1992 after heroin was found in his vehicle, has always protested his innocence and Yorkshire Euro MP Edward McMillan Scott is leading the campaign to release him.The MP has held talks with the Turkish ambassador and plans further meetings in the next few weeks.
