• Bulk diesel prices fell by an average of 0.6p/lit in the seven days to 16 December, bringing the total saving this month to 1.3p/lit, according to fuel analyst Oil Price Assessment.
Pump diesel prices have generally come down by around 1p/lit this month, with the most expensive fuel coming down to 44.3p/lit. But there is still a wide variety of prices, with the cheapest diesel costing around 6p/lit less than the most expensive. There is now a high degree of uncertainty and prices could go either way.
