Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A problem often encountered when a fixed displacement hydraulic pump is driven by an internal combustion engine is that of maintaining a constant pump output under varying load conditions. Integrated Hydraulics have developed the Hydra-Sensor, which is a pneumatically operated control actuated from an integral hydraulic flow sensor which monitors pump displacement The sensor unit is fitted into the vehicle hydraulic system in the pump output line between the pump and the relief valve. It is claimed that any hydraulic system load change is sensed and transmitted to the throttle linkage which is repositioned as necessary to maintain constant pump output. The Hydra-Sensor can operate in hydraulic systems with maximum working pressures of up to 21,000kN/sqm (3,000psi) and flows of between 7.5 lit/min (1.6gpm) and 151 lit/min (33gpm).
