MR. K. T. BAssErr has, at the age of 37, been appointed district manager for the Rhodesias of Dunlop South Africa, Ltd.
MR. C. G. PAGE, secretary and chief legal adviser of London Transport, has been appointed secretary of the London Transport Executive. MR H. S. CHAPMAN, assistant secretary of the Board, is to be assistant secretary of
the Executive.
MR. E. A. TURRALL, of the Dunlop Rim and Wheel Co., Ltd., Coventry, has been appointed works manager of its No. 1 factory. He joined as a draughtsman 37 years ago, after experience with Alfred Herbert, Ltd., and Albion Motors Ltd.
MR. G. F. SINCLAIR, deputy general manager (road services), has been appointed chief technical planning and supplies officer of London Transport. For technical planning, he will be directly responsible to the acting chair man of the Board. Other appointments are as follow:—Mu. P. G. JAMES, accountant, to be chief accountant; MR. F. G. MAXWELL assistant to the operating manager (railways), to be operating manager (railways); and MR. J. H. F. BENFORD, fares and charges officer, to be commercial manager. MR. C. H. MASON has become field manager (mileage sales) of the Avon India Rubber Co., Ltd.
MR. C, W. GUILLEBAUD, M.A., has been appointed to succeed SIR FRANCIS FLOUD, K.C.B., K.C.S.I., K.C.M.G., as chairman of the Road Haulage Central

MR. WILFRID ANDREWS, chairman of the Royal Automobile Club, has been made by the King of Sweden a Commander 2nd Class of the Royal Order of Vasa. of Sweden, as a token of appreciation of services rendered to Swedish automobile interests. MR. GEOFFREY SAMUELSON, secretary of the R.A.C., and CAPT. A. W. PHILLIPS, MC,, general manager of the J.A.C. Associate Section, have been created Chevaliers 2nd Class of the same Order.
COUN. HARTLEY WILKINSON, managing director of Peter Wilkinson, Ltd., the well-known Sunderland haulage concern has been recommended by Sunderland Conservative Association as prospective Parliamentary candidate for the town. He is chairman of the Northern Area Road Haulage Wages Board, chairman of the Road and Rail Conference (Northern Area) and a member of the National Executive of the Road Haulage Association.
