THE IMPORTS of commercial motor -vehicles, including omnibuses, fireengines end ambulances, for the month of November show a slight increase over the figures .for 1921, but a, substantial falling off from those-of November, 1920. The number imported last month was 91, of a total valise of £17,125, whilst in November, 1921, the number imported was 84, of -a value of -E11,122. The total imports for the 11 months -to -the end of November compare as follow :In the year 1922, 807 vehicles, valued at £164.761 ; in the year 1921, 2,263 vehicles, valued at £515,187.

In the Board of Trade returns parts of commercial vehicles are included with. parts ,of motorcars. The .figure for the 10. months ending November 30th was £1,765,174. This is '1,000,000 less than for the 11 months of 1921, and £6000,000 less than for the like period in 1920.
With regard to the exports of Britishmade commercial vehicles, small as was the figure for the month of Noveniber in each of the two previous years, it is smaller still for November last, when only 52 commercial vehicles were sent abroad, their value being £54,212. In November., 1921, the number was 144,
(value £124,368), and in November, 1920. the number waS 107 (value R,94,191).
To the end of November the exports for the year have totalled in value £371,056, representing 431 vehicles. In the like period for 1921 the value. was _",464,011, representing 573 vehicles, whilst .for the .first 11 months of 1920 it was 594;437, representing 659 vehicles.
A large number of ehassis (953, valued at, .£567,343) has gone abroad in the past 'months, but. the returns do not show What proportion of these were commer&al vehicles and what were private motorcars.
