Viamaster opts for M-B
VIAMASTER TRANSPORT has taken delivery of two Mercedes-Benz Actros tractor units for use on general haulage contracts throughout the UK.
It is the first time the company has purchased Mercedes vehicles. having previously favoured Volvo and Scania.
The Actros 2546 models have a 460hp engine and Viamaster has specified range-topping MegaSpace cabs. Ian Davenport, fleet engineer at Viamaster, says: "It's difficult to buy a bad truck these days, so back-up is crucially important. [local dealer] Northside Truck & Van appears to be highly professional and has made a good start."
