LEEDS RING ROAD PRIORITY

NORK on the northern section of the proposed Leeds inner ring road, etween Park Lane and the junction of ,Iorth Street and New York Road, vould start within two years and be ompleted within four or five years, Mr. Villiam Sleight, chief assistant planning ifficer of Leeds, forecast last week. Speaking at a planning inquiry he said hat the work had the highest priority lecause the road would relieve an stimated one-third of the traffic at ;resent congesting the central area of ,eeds.

The inquiry heard an appeal by Mr. /lax Statman against Leeds Corporation's imitation on the change of use of part pf a house in Brunswick Street, which lies is the path of the proposed road.
