ANOTTINGHAM haulier had a deficiency of £1,538 when his business closed after only 10 months. it was stated at a meeting of his creditors in Nottingham last week. He was Alwyne Stone, 71 Oaker Avenue, Darley Dale, Notts, whose assets were expected to produce £13, compared with liabilities of £1,551 19s. 8d.

Last August, Stone opened Messrs. Keystone Transport, and it closed on June 15. A receiving order and order of adjudication were made on his own petition on July 18. Stone alleged his failure was due to insufficient work, which was coupled with heavy hire-purchase instalments.

A public examination will take place on September 20.
