A NEW INNOVATION for 2012 – the CV Show smartphone app – is now available for free download.
Designed to work across iPad, iPhone, desktop and Android devices, the app gives visitors a detailed list of exhibitors’ contact details with web links and company information, a complete exhibition floor plan and the ability to compile a list of favourite exhibitors to make up a ‘must see’ list.
The newly developed app has been built to download onto most smartphones (though not Blackberry) or tablets, and functions offline as well as when connected to mobile or Wi-Fi networks.
The exhibitors’ listing can be searched by product category or by exhibitor name, and a touch of the screen shows where in the four halls the stand is located.
The show plan allows users to look around their current location easily to find other stands nearby that they may wish to visit, and also acts as a
convenient orientation tool to navigate through the halls. The app is also designed to encourage visitors to tweet their views on the show using the ‘#CVShow’ hashtag. The CV Show App is available to download free now from www.cvshow.com
• The first public exhibition of a longer semi-trailer will take place at the CV Show when SDC Trailers launches its new Enviroliner range of high-volume trailers; on display will be a 15.65m longer semi-trailer for logistics provider Norbert Dentressangle, and a Palletforcebranded double-decker.
