Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• RHA Insurance Services has launched a new risk management and security advisory service to help hauliers who are confused about the sheer number of security products on the market.

Independent security firm Startrack has joined forces with the RHAIS to provide the telephone hotline service, which is restricted to RHA members only.

The move comes at a time when truck and trailer security

is under the microscope as a result of rising vehicle and load theft, coupled with the high risks faced by international operators caught with illegal immigrants on vehicles.

Chris North, marketing executive of RHAIS, explains the reasons for the initiative: "There are a lot of people pushing their products out there and there is a need for independent advice to establish which product is suitable."

• Lincolnshire-based MB Products, which has launched security device Trailer Alert—a system designed to combat illegal immigrants and thieves—claims a number of blue-chip firms including electrical companies are interested in fitting the device to their fleets. Trailer Alert warns drivers that someone is entering the vehicle from up to 60m away via a pocket-sized alarm unit.
