Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Hays Distribution Services has hit back at claims that it has withdrawn from DIY distribution, with the announcement of a new contract in the home improvement market with kitchenware manufacturer Viva Ware.

The contract had been held by Bibby Distribution since Spanish Viva Ware expanded into Britain three years ago, with a site in Farnborough, Hants.

Hays' initial six-month contract covers warehousing and the transportation of kitchenware to UK retailers, but the number of vehicles dedicated to it has yet to be decided.

HDS's Derbyshire-based sister company Hays Specialist Distribution has won a homedelivery contract with American Express Gold Card holders' catalogue. The initial twomonth deal will involve fragile electrical goods.

E Hays claims that 96% of home delivery companies fail to give adequate protection to goods. About 25% of goods are damaged on arrival in London and the South-East, according to its nationwide survey.
