• The Royal Mail has become the first fleet customer to order Leyland Oaf Freighters with the Besco aerodynamic bodywork (CM 12-18 April).
Parcel Force has ordered two and the letters division will have three.
Neither fleet includes 17tonners, but they plan to assess the benefits of the aerodynamic package. Besco has also won an order for five vehicles from I3RS Northern and is to supply Parcel Force with 173 GRP box bodies, equipped with wide-slat rear shutters for its Leyland Oaf Roadrunner 8.13 fleet.
