• Tommy Cole, for a long time Whittle International's Preston warehouse manager, is retiring from the company he has worked for the company for 19 years, and has loaded thousands of international trailers.
Company boss Michael Whittle says: "Many drivers will be interested to hear of Tommy's retirement and will certainly miss his Cockney good humour and constant supply of rather dubious stories."
