• Instead of air freighting racing tyres to car grand prix and rallies SP (Dunlop) Tyres is using a Crane Fruehauf drawbar trailer with the German GLZ (Grow Braun-Lestzug) coupling to service such racing teams as Porsche.
The outfit is drawn by a Leyland Cruiser 16.23 with a 7.3m body which serves as a hospitality suite/workshop. Paintwork and GRP bodywork was supplied by J. C. Payne.
The rear 7.6m trailer carries up to 800 tyres and the whole outfit measures 18m with an 850nun gap between towing vehicle and trailer.
