1-1. A SYMPOSIUM on automatic transmissions is being held by the Advanced School of Automobile Engineering at Cranfield, Bucks, on July 9 and 10. Nine papers are being presented, among them "Automatic Transmission Requirements for Public Service Vehicles" by A. G. Higgins, London Transport Board, and "Hydro.static Transmissions" by C. K. J. Price of Lucas Industrial Developments Ltd. Registration forms for those wishing to attend the symposium can be obtained from Mr. N, A. Carter at Cran field.
