MR. KENNETII HILL has been appointed a director of Judella Castings, Ltd.

Ma. S. B. BOWSKILL, assistant manager of the Birmingham heavy haulage branch of the Pickfords Division of British Road Services, will become branch manager when that post is vacated next month by MR. E. ButuiN, who is to retire. Mr. Bowskill joined Pickfords in 1940.

MR, R. A. REEDMAN, group manager of Grace Bros. Pty., Ltd., Australia (whose activities were described in The Commercial Motor on June 1, 1956), is making an extensive trip to visit his company's associates in many parts of the world. While in Britain he went to Leyland Motors, Ltd., who make the vehicles upon which Grace Bros. are standardizing their pantechnicon fleet.

M. P. FAULKNER is to be a Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Transport in place of SIR GEORGE STEDMAN. who is retiring on May 31. Sir George entered the Ministry in 1920, within a year of its formation, and has served in it ever since. Since he became a Deputy, Secretary in 1954, he has been in charge of the Inland Transport side of the Ministry. Mr. Faulkner entered the Ministry as an Assistant Principal in 1930.

MR. JOHN MURPHY has been appointed divisional accountant for Northern Irish division of Shell-Mex and B.P., Ltd.

MR. C. J. HORSLEY has been re-elected chairman of the Western Division of the Traders Road Transport Association, Ltd., and MR. E. W. PRESTON vice-chairman, MR. H. WINDSOR, formerly works manager of Oswald Tillotson, Ltd., is now Burnley branch manager, with MR. J. SuAcKLEToN as service manager, MR, A. E. NORTHROP has been appointed branch manager at Bradford.

MR. A. D. MACKAY has been appointed to the board of Associated British Engineering, Ltd. . He remains deputy chairman of Henry Meadows. Ltd., but has relinquished the managing directorship, a post which has been taken up by MR. ARTHUR WOOD.

MR. S. J. LAMBORN was re-elected chairman of the London and Home Counties Division of the Traders' Road Transport Association last week. The three vice-chairmen appointed were MR. F. H. LAYTON, MR. S. HATTAN and MR. H. C. CHANDLER. M. W. A. W1NSON was re'-elected honorar y treasurer.
