Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WELL DONE for highlighting the huge problem of late payment in the haulage industry ("Sorry mate, the dog ate the cheque". CM 11 September). Of course hauliers are not alone in being the victims of late payment, but the issue is nevertheless a huge one for our industry.

Any government support for the beleaguered creditors of companies that take two months or more to pay their bills is highly welcome, but what we really need is a cultural change that makes this behaviour unacceptable.

Why can't we have public lists of companies that do not pay their debts on time? Catalogues of shame to persuade everybody that not paying bills on time is not worth the dishonour.
