Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE DECISION to separate Leyland's commercial vehicle and car interests, each under a proven chief executive, is long overdue. The pity is that they were ever joined in the first place.

If the appointment of a parttime chairman of high standing is an "insult" to British Leyland workers, they must be extraordinarily sensitive. Sir Austin Bide must surely be better value to the public at £63,000 a year, even if he is parttime, than Somerset's dancer in residence at £6,500 a year.

The unemployed would, I am sure, prefer Austin to Morris dancing.
