• Mr H. E. Biscoe, who is at present employed as a tanker driver, was granted an operator's licence to run his own haulage business by the Eastern Licensing Authority. Mr H. E. Robson, at Ipswich on Tuesday. There were no objectors to the application.
Mr Biscoe said he planned to purchase one 12-tonner initially, another within six months and a third after 12 months. He had previously operated as a haulier on his own-account from 1949 to 1958. "My business then involved general haulage cargo from Ipswich to Birmingham on a A licence," he said.
' Mr Biscoe said he anticipated a mileage of about 800 a week and had been promised premises in Ipswich from which to operate. "I have had promises of business which will bring me in at least £100. In fact I have had more offers of work than I could possibly take on with all three vehicles?' he said.
