ROLLS-ROYCE EUCLIDS FOR SPAIN: Five 15-ton Euclid rear dump trucks are to be supplied by Blackwood Hodge to Obras y Construcciones Durnez S.A., Spain, for work at a new chemical plant at Huelva. The dump trucks will he fitted with normally aspirated Rolls-Royce C6NFL, six-cylinder, vertical diesel engines.

ELECTRICS FOR GHANA HOSPITAL: The Ministry of Health, Ghana, has ordered T3 electric vehicles from Austin Crompton Parkinson Electric Vehicles Ltd. for use at he Korle Bu Hospital. Accra. Ltd.: seven 41-seat Firefly coaches on Bedford SB5, Wessex Coaches Ltd.; five 41-seat Trooper on Thames 30 chassis, four 52-seat Mariner on Thames 36. one 52-seat Vega Major on Bedford VAL and one 4I-seat Bella Vega on Bedford SB5, all for Don Everall Travel Ltd.; eight 4 (-seat Trooper and two 52-seat Mariner, Eatonways Ltd.; and five 41-seat Bella Vega on Bedford SB5, Wilts and Dorset Motor Services Ltd. Essex Road Schemes. A £1.05m. contract has been awarded by the Minister of Transport for a 21-mile by-pass of the village of Stratford St. Mary, on the Al2 trunk road on the boundary of East Suffolk and Essex. Work should be completed in two years. The 3-1-mile Witham by-pass on the Al2 in Essex, built at a cost Of aim, was opened on Tuesday by the Minister. The new road

runs from a point mile south of the Rivenhall crossroads north east of the town

to a point mile north of Hatfield Peverel, passing to the south and east of Witham. Record Romae Profits: Profit before taxation of Romac Industries Ltd. for the year ended March 31 last was a record £86,459 (€66,413 in the previous year), leaving a net profit of C+8.844 (£30.669).

Big Contract for Continental Oil: Conti:rental Oil (U.K.) Ltd. has been awarded contracts by the City of Liverpool Corporation to supply the total requirements of diesel fuel for the city transport and gas oil for central heating purposes. Under the terms of the agreement Continental will supply ('m. gal, of products from the Ellesmere Port terminal facilities.

Whessoe Take-over: The Darlington engineers, Whessoe Ltd., have purchased Universal Fabricators (Dublin) Ltd. for a consideration of £180,000, satisfied by a cash payment of £80,000 and the issue of 87,432 Whessoe 5s. ordinary shares subject to London Stock Exchange quotation for the new shares. Universal Fabricators have for some years fabricated and erected steel vessels and tanks under licence from Whessoe.

Miniature Commercial Motor Show: An exhibition of commercial vehicles was staged by Normand Ltd., motor Vehicle distributors and coachbuilders, at their Park Royal factory earlier this week. The Tecalemit Mobile Exhibition/Cinema was on display, together with current examples of Leyland. alhion, Scammell and other commercial vehicles of which Normand are distributors and main agents.
