TACHOGRAPH ANALYSIS and supplies company Tachodisc is to introduce a series of mobile phone apps to help truck drivers calculate their driving and rest hours correctly.
The first Rest Assured app was shown at Commercial Motor Live and calculates a driver’s daily rest requirements so that a driver knows exactly at what time he will be able to resume working the following day.
Tachodisc plans to release several more apps over the next few months. These will include one for weekly rest requirements and another applying the 45-minute break rules.
The apps are for mobile smartphones using the Android operating system.
