it is on target to introduce a number of Euro-3 trucks by next spring.
The bus chassis on show at the NEC displayed a variety of different designs and drivelines. Among them was the 1100 FE school bus, with a 3.9-litre Cummins B Series engine and an Allison World Series 2000 automatic gearbox.
But the LLE chassis was much more radical, packaging the Cummins engine and Voith 823.3 auto box compactly across the frame. A Voith W18 angle drive takes power to the ZF portal drive axle, which permits a very low floor. Wiring is multiplexed throughout, and a built-in data-logging capability gives operators as much management information as they can handle.
